An incident of a traffic collision has been reported from the California Highway Intersection of I5 N and I10 E. The accident occurred on the NB 5 to EB 10 route, with reports indicating that a vehicle, specifically a blue BMW Convertible collided with a guardrail. According to sources, the vehicle appears to have been propelled into a ditch after the collision. It’s speculated that the guardrail possibly prevented the car from going over to EB 10. Furthermore, debris from the accident was reported to be spread across the lanes.The driver involved in the accident – an elderly male was seen wearing a brown suit jacket and a light shirt. According to eyewitnesses, he appeared to be standing out of his vehicle, holding onto the door, seeming quite disoriented and confused after the collision. It has been suggested that the male might have experienced some health issue, possibly having fallen asleep at the wheel which caused him to run off the road and collide with the guardrail.Responding officers from the CHP were on the scene shortly after the accident, with medical services soon dispatched for the disoriented driver. The Freeway Service Patrol has also closed the related incident. In addition to the emergency services, a tow truck company, Hollywood Car Carrier Tow, was contacted to remove the vehicle from the ditch. A timely arrival of 20 minutes was estimated for the tow truck company.At the time of writing, the accident investigation was still underway and any impending lane closures or traffic diversions were yet to be confirmed, thereby advising motorists to exercise caution when in the vicinity.
