A traffic collision occurred on SR134 in California, leading to a temporary closure of all lanes, according to data released by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The accident involved a grey Toyota Prius and a Ford vehicle with moderate front-end damage. Initially, sources said the accident happened westbound (WB) on SR134 just east of SR2. Shortly after the incident, the CHP assigned units to the scene and requested a tow service for the damaged Ford vehicle. The grey Toyota Prius was pulled to the right shoulder, further west of the accident scene. Officers temporarily blocked the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) and #1 lanes in response to the incident. The incident led officials to request a signal for lane #1 to be close for a total of 3 hours. While the incident was ongoing, traffic breaks were initiated, starting from WB 134 at Fig to ensure the safety of other road users. The authorities also took steps to pick up cone patterns from the highway that could potentially disrupt the flow of traffic. The lanes were subsequently reopened after clearance operations were completed. According to sources, all lanes are now open, and the incident has been closed by the CHP. Motorists are advised to exercise caution when traversing the area as clearance operations are still underway.
