Sources indicate that a revered grandfather, Allen Yangkaou Lee, 67, lost his life during a road incident earlier this month in Irvine. Mr Lee was driving on Culver Drive towards Trabuco Road around 4:30 p.m. on May 9 when a vehicle abruptly entered the intersection, forcing the grandfather to swerve his vehicle. This sudden action led to Mr Lee losing control of his car, resulting in it rolling over and striking a traffic median, a tree, and a streetlight before coming to rest upside down. The wayward vehicle that caused the accident was identified as a beige Honda Civic and it left the scene without stopping. After emergency services promptly transferred him to a local hospital, Mr Lee succumbed to his injuries on May 13. His family, left in a state of mourning, hold dear memories of their loving father and grandfather. They maintain hope that the person responsible for Mr Lee’s tragic death will soon be apprehended. The family also expressed their gratitude towards the altruistic individuals who endeavored to aid Mr Lee following the rollover incident.Responsive law enforcement officials have identified and described the offending vehicle as a 2008-2011 beige Honda Civic, equipped with distinct racing-style stickers on the lower parts of both passenger doors and red material on the handles. Video evidence retrieved from a camera inside Mr Lee’s car has proven valuable in helping investigators gather important clues regarding the case. Anyone with crucial video evidence or potential witnesses are urged to contact relevant authorities.
