In an unfortunate traffic incident, a pedestrian lost their life in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. The incident took place around 11:19 p.m. when the individual was crossing over Venice Boulevard within the 700 block. Tragically, the person was hit by two vehicles, one after the other.According to sources, the first vehicle collided with the pedestrian, who was attempting to cross in an area lacking a marked crosswalk. A second vehicle reportedly hit the pedestrian again and dragged them down the street. Bystanders witnessed a distressing scene where the victim was wedged under a black BMW until firefighters intervened to lift the vehicle and release them.Emergency responders arrived on the scene promptly, but despite their best efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is yet to be disclosed.Furthering the tragedy, the first vehicle that was involved in the collision did not halt or maintain their position at the incident site and instead chose to flee. The car was not immediately described by authorities. However, the second vehicle that was involved in the tragic event did stop not far from the incident location.The incident is actively being investigated by authorities.
