According to our sources, a major traffic incident occurred today on US101 South near N. Normandie Avenue in Los Angeles. The collision reportedly involved five vehicles and was related to DUI (Driving Under Influence).The collision was severe enough to require immediate traffic control and medical attention. Authorities reported that three parties were transported to the nearest hospital. Following the accident, all lanes were closed off to allow for the rescue, recovery, and clearing operations to take place.As part of the detailed recovery operation, numerous towing services were requested for the damaged vehicles. As such, four of the involved vehicles were reported to have sustained significant damage. Following the clearance of the affected vehicles, all lanes were subsequently reopened to traffic.Additionally, they confirmed that the accident was due to one of the involved vehicles, a white Audi, driving in the wrong direction. As a result, this vehicle reportedly collided with a black GMC Yukon, a white Mercedes, and two other unidentified cars, leading to the blockage of fast lanes.While authorities dealt with the cleanup and investigation of the incident, emergency medical services also were on the scene providing care to victims. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing, with an additional focus on the implicated DUI case. Drivers are urged to avoid driving under the influence and to remain vigilant while on the road to prevent such incidents in the future.The clearing operations were eventually completed after several hours of intense on-scene work. Subsequently, authorities reported that the involved lane is now fully operational.
