According to sources, a traffic collision occurred on US101 North near Hayvenhurst Avenue. The accident was between a grey Mercedes and a brown Ford pick-up truck, temporarily blocking the slow lane. Local law enforcement quickly reached the incident location shortly after it was reported.Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene. Both the Local Fire Department and Highway Patrol units were reported at the scene. The Fire Department was enlisted to potentially assist with any injuries that could have arisen from the accident. However, there were no explicit reports of injuries at the time.Following the accident, it was determined that the grey Mercedes required towing services. The vehicle was towed by FSP to a nearby location off of Hayvenhurst Avenue, just north of US101. The towing service ‘Classic Club Tow Service’ was contacted and arrived within 20 minutes to further handle the vehicle.The road was soon clear again and traffic resumed its ordinary flow. It is recommended that drivers exhibit extra caution when passing the area of Hayvenhurst Avenue, as traffic patterns might still be affected due to the aftermath of the accident.Local authorities are working to further investigate the cause of the crash and actions might be taken based on the findings.
