Sources report that a traffic collision occurred around 2:41 p.m. on the I405 North close to Palo Verde Avenue. The incident involved two vehicles; a gray Nissan and a gray Subaru, which were initially obstructing the number 1 lane. Official response to the incident was prompt with the local fire department being notified.Traffic in the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane was impacted with the lane becoming temporarily blocked. Additional information at 2:42 p.m. indicated a black Subaru Outback may also have been involved in the incident. By 3:16 p.m., responders had moved the individuals involved off at Palo Verde, clearing the roadway. At 3:00 p.m. the Long Beach Fire Department confirmed the incident did not result in injuries. Around 3:33 p.m., it was further confirmed a towing service was requested. Falcon Towing, despite being contacted, was later dismissed at 4:24 p.m. at the request of one of the parties involved in the collision. The situation was fully resolved by 4:04 p.m. according to sources. This event underscores the importance of cautious driving and awareness while on the road to avoid similar incidents.
