A traffic collision has been reported on the northbound State Route 71 just south of Rio Rancho. The vehicles involved in the collision were a red Hyundai Elantra and a gray Toyota sedan. Sources say that the vehicles ended up on the right shoulder of the highway following the collision. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene. Los Angeles County Fire Department was alerted of the incident and relevant authorities were on their way to the location as of 4:42 PM.By 4:58 PM, the assigned unit had arrived at the scene of the collision.
