Sources report a significant traffic collision that occurred on the eastbound lane near the Seco Street off-ramp. The incident involved at least three vehicles. At the time of the accident, the severity of injuries sustained remained unknown. Nevertheless, emergency response teams were activated and dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident. As of current reporting, the condition of the drivers and passengers involved is not disclosed. The collision resulted in major front and rear-end damage to a grey Toyota Corolla and significant front-end damage to a blue Porsche 911. The identity of the third vehicle remains undisclosed. Further complicating the situation, one of the involved parties opted for their personal towing service, leading to the cancellation of an earlier requested CHP tow. The emergency response team, however, managed to move the vehicles to the roadside, thereby clearing the lanes shortly afterwards. This incident led to a complete stop of all traffic momentarily, affecting the mobility of several road users. The freeway’s condition improved following the towing of the involved vehicles off the freeway by the involved parties. Added to this, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and emergency response operatives remained at the scene to control traffic and ensure safe passage for other road users. The situation on the freeway is reported to be clear now, and the CHP has closed this incident from their log. Regular traffic flow has resumed, and the freeway is open to all road users. Details of the cause of the accident remain under investigation.
