Late last night, a traffic collision occurred at the intersection of Proctor Avenue and S 5th Avenue. According to sources from the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles, a white SUV and a blue sedan, were involved in the incident.Upon receiving the call, the patrol had initially reported the incident as a traffic collision with unknown injuries. However, it was later updated to a traffic collision with medical personnel en route to the scene, indicating the possibility of injuries incurred during the collision.Los Angeles County Fire Department was responsive to the scene, providing necessary medical attention to the parties involved. At the same time, roadside assistance was requested to the scene as well. Foothill Towing was contacted and arrived on site bringing two tow trucks to manage the vehicles involved. A call was initially put through to Haddicks Tow, however, they were unavailable at the time.The traffic unit was assigned to the incident around 12:25 AM and had reached the scene by 12:30 AM. They cleared the area by 1:51 AM, ensuring the road was safe and drivable post-incident.As usual, motorists are reminded to adhere strictly to the rules of the road and be aware of their surroundings to prevent accidents like this. Investigation is still ongoing as to what exactly caused the collision, and further details are expected to be released by authorities.
