A multi-vehicle traffic collision reported on the I405 Southbound, just north of Sherman Way. The incident involved a possible total of three vehicles, one of which a blue Dodge Ram and another a black sedan. According to sources, the black sedan rear-ended another vehicle before colliding into the center divider. The accident resulted in the black sedan blocking the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane. The extent of the damage to the sedan is specified as having a broken-off left front axle. The presence of the vehicle in the HOV lane required traffic to halt across all lanes. A Toyota Celica, presumably one of the three involved in the incident, also encountered significant damage, including a broken front axle and major front-end losses. The situation prompted the traffic management center to broadcast a SIGALERT, a high-impact traffic alert, informing the media of the ongoing incident. The alert specified the blockage of the HOV lane and projected an approximate duration of 30 minutes for clearance. Additionally, a Dodge Ram was reported to be on the roadside following the incident. It was quickly attended by assigned units that arrived on the location. The units requested a towing service to remove the heavily damaged Toyota Celica. West Hills Tow was contacted and confirmed their dispatch to the scene. The collision incident is currently under investigation for additional details.
