A tragic incident occurred in the city of Pomona where a silver Honda Accord struck a woman and a child while they were crossing the street. The collision happened at approximately 8:02 p.m. on Tuesday evening, at the intersection of Towne and Lexington Avenue.According to the Pomona Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered the two pedestrians lying on the street. The woman, whose injuries are reported as severe, was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. Sadly, the young child was not able to survive the injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.The driver of the Honda Accord was also present at the scene at the time of the incident, and was subjected to a field sobriety test by the officers on May 28, 2024.As of now, no additional details regarding the incident have been disclosed.
