In a tragic turn of events on Tuesday night, a deadly head-on collision in Playa del Rey has resulted in at least one fatality and left three victims in critical condition. Sources say the two-vehicle crash occurred on the 8800 block of Vista Del Mar just prior to 8 p.m. The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene to discover multiple injured individuals.One person was tragically found deceased inside one of the vehicles involved in the wreck. Responding emergency crews faced the harrowing task of extricating passengers from the wreckage of the collision. Three individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital due to the severity of their injuries, two of whom required extrication from the crash. The transported victims have been identified as a 30-year-old woman, an 18-year-old girl, an 18-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy.Furthermore, the collision caused significant damage to an involved blue sedan and a white SUV, leaving a large amount of auto debris scattered across the road. The blue sedan appeared severely damaged and seemed to be the vehicle first responders were seen extricating passengers from.The incident led to the closure of the road, as a considerable law enforcement presence responded to the scene of the accident. However, details about the circumstances leading to this devastating crash remain unclear. Officials have yet to release identities of the victims.
