An unusual car crash occurred in Orange County on Saturday, when a fire hydrant was sheared off during a two-vehicle collision. This incident led to one of the vehicles being suspended in the air by the water from the fire hydrant. This extraordinary event occurred near Jeronimo Road and Heidi Avenue in Lake Forest. Sources stated that the call to the fire department was made around 6:30 p.m., with the information that individuals may be trapped in the vehicle that was suspended in the air. Details regarding how the collision occurred remain unclear, although it is clear that the water from the broken fire hydrant exerted enough pressure to support the weight of the rear end of the car, which was elevated 7-8 feet aboveground. By the time first responders arrived at the scene, both drivers had managed to leave their vehicles, and they were attended to by paramedics at the scene.
