A fatal rollover crash on the 118 Freeway near Pacoima resulted in one death and another individual seriously injured, sources say. Crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department were dispatched to the vicinity of the incident, which occurred near the intersection of Haddon Avenue and Fielding Street by Paxton Park, around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. As of now, the specific circumstances that instigated the crash remain unclear, save for it involving a vehicle rolling off the freeway and resting near the aforementioned intersection. Among the two victims, one was ejected from the vehicle while the other remained trapped inside.Efforts by firefighters to free the trapped individual unfortunately led to their pronouncement as deceased at the scene. The other victim, who was ejected from the vehicle, was immediately taken to a nearby hospital by medical personnel, albeit in unknown condition.Aerial footage and ground videos of the incident showcased rescue crews at work in the area, with one victim covered by a sheet lying nearby at the scene.
