On Friday, traffic on Highway 5 Southbound in California was disturbed when a multi-vehicle accident occurred. Sources say that a black Ford Crown Victoria, a security patrol vehicle, collided with a Chevrolet Traverse. The accident took place near Highway 14, temporarily blocking all lanes.The accident reportedly also involved a white Chevrolet and a grey SUV, in total possibly involving three vehicles. The collision resulted in severe disturbances to traffic, with some being stopped in the second lane and others in the high-occupancy vehicle lane.Emergency personnel responded to the scene. As part of the cleanup operations and investigations, lanes 1 and 2 were reportedly blocked for a period of time. Town Center Tow was requested for car towing, with an estimated arrival time of 25 minutes. Post-incident investigations were carried out at Henry Mayo Hospital, revealing that all lanes were eventually reopened. As of the final reports, traffic seems to have returned to normal. Despite the inconvenience, the cleanup process was promptly executed to minimize disruption to motorists plying the route.
