In a tragic incident, two people have lost their lives in a single-vehicle accident in Palmdale, according to reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The accident occurred on Olive Street, west of 30th Street East, around 2:08 p.m. on Monday.The vehicle involved, a 2005 Nissan Altima, was traveling eastbound on Olive Street at an elevated speed when the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a tree. Sources say the driver was declared dead at the scene.The passenger in the car was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, they too succumbed to their injuries, raising the death toll of the accident to two. Authorities have as of yet not released additional details about the identities of the victims. As recently as Saturday, there was a separate accident that resulted in three deaths and three injuries in Pasadena.
