Yesterday, a traffic collision took place on Northern Interstate 110, just North of State Route 91, California Highway Patrol reports say. According to available information, the collision involved two vehicles; a white sedan (SD) and a red sedan. Immediately following the collision, the red sedan was seen emitting smoke and subsequently caught fire.Within a short time of the incident, local law enforcement was assigned and dispatched to the scene of the collision. On arriving at the site, law enforcement confirmed both vehicles were involved and were positioned in the center divider of the Interstate.Emergency services were initially alerted and en route to lend assistance as per standard procedure for incidents of this nature. However, sources say the fire was quickly brought under control, reducing the incident to a non-injury traffic collision (NITC). As a result, the call for additional fire department resources was canceled.It is currently not clear what circumstances led to this incident. Local law enforcement is investigating the incident further. Both vehicles were present in the center divider of the highway after the crash, potentially causing some traffic disruptions. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in this area until the investigation is concluded and the vehicles are cleared from the scene.
