A traffic collision occurred on the northbound I605 just north of Valley Boulevard, according to sources familiar with the situation. Initial reports state that a black Honda Accord and a blue Hyundai Elantra were involved in the accident. The accident initially blocked the slow lane, prompting a response from local tow and emergency services. Citywide Towing was dispatched to the scene with an expected time of arrival around 20 minutes after the report was made. Responders spotted both a red Honda and blue Hyundai on the roadside prior to the towing company’s arrival. Officials also reported that a responding unit was on-scene with the fire department though no fires were mentioned in the reports. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also notified of the incident and requested an estimated time of arrival from the California Highway Patrol. During the incident, traffic division officers from the Lower Azusa area provided support.
