An incident was reported on the northbound side of the 101 Highway, close to Sepulveda Boulevard, earlier yesterday, according to sources. A traffic collision involving three vehicles reportedly led to a vehicle fire, causing significant disruption to traffic flow for the duration of emergency response operations.The vehicles involved in the collision were identified as a black BMW SUV, a white van, and a red Honda sedan. Post the collision, one of the vehicles engulfed in flames, operators immediately transferred the call to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).Witnesses reported that all individuals involved in the collision managed to get safely out of their vehicles, though the vehicles obstructed the first lane of the highway while being fully inflamed. Emergency units were quickly dispatched to the scene.The towing companies, Keystone Tow and EZ towing were contacted to provide flatbed tow trucks to help clear the area. Each dispatched a tow truck with an estimated arrival time of 20 minutes. The BMW SUV, an electric vehicle, faced additional complications as it was unclear if the transmission was locked out.Upon arriving at the scene, officers could confirm that all four lanes were re-opened post the completion of towing and firefighting operation. It is yet unclear what led to the collision or if there were any casualties or injuries resulting from the incident.
