A traffic accident is reported on Interstate 605, northbound just north of Firestone Boulevard. The collision, which initially was reported as a non-injury incident, has been updated to a situation requiring an ambulance.Sources say the accident involved two Toyota Camry vehicles, one gray and one black. The gray Camry is reported to have crossed over the designated high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane’s yellow dividing marker, leading to the collision. Both cars are undrivable after the collision. The scene also indicates that the accident is currently blocking the HOV lane, causing possible traffic congestion in the area. California Highway Patrol was immediately alerted and is currently on route to clear the road and investigate the incident. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was alerted as well, and an ambulance is en route to the accident scene to cater to any injuries. At this point, it is recommended for drivers using the 605 northbound route to prepare for potential delays or search for alternate routes to avoid the blocked HOV lane. The official report is underway, and more information about the incident will be released as the situation progresses.
