Sources report an incident of a troubling traffic collision today on the I110 South, just north of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard exit. A black Honda Civic and two SUVs were reported to be involved in the accident, which initially blocked the lane designated for carpooling. Following the incident, those involved were observed standing outside of their vehicles, further suggesting the severity of the crash. As a result of this, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) promptly responded to the incident, upgrading the initially reported non-injury accident to a traffic collision with unknown injuries. The CHP officers were on site shortly after the accident was reported.Medical services were contacted timely following initial evaluations of the crash scene. Reports also suggest a request was made for an emergency response team to assist at the site further heightening the urgency for medical attention.In addition, in order to clear the accident scene and ensure the safe flow of traffic, a towing service was requested. However, due to heavy traffic conditions, Jon’s Towing service estimated an arrival time of 35 minutes.The Freeway Service Patrol closed the incident later in the day.
