In the afternoon hours of Thursday, a tragic head-on collision occurred in Shadow Hills, near Tujunga. The incident transpired around 12:50 p.m. on West La Tuna Canyon Road’s 8400 block, according to sources.Two sedans, a silver Kia and a white Dodge, featuring significant front-end damage, were visible on the road’s shoulder. Both vehicles had one occupant, each becoming trapped due to the force of the crash.Immediate response arrived at the scene from local authorities, who found one individual, a male in his 30s, entrapped in one of the vehicles. Using heavy-duty equipment, they extricated him from the wreckage and rapidly transferred him to a local hospital due to the severity of his injuries.The occupant of the other vehicle did not survive the incident and was pronounced dead on-site. Firefighters and paramedics managed the process of removing the person’s remains from the vehicle, thereafter transferring them to the responsibility of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. Presently, the deceased individual’s identity remains undisclosed as the investigation surrounding the circumstances of the accident continues.
