According to sources, a male driver was arrested under the suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in the early hours of Wednesday, when his vehicle crashed into the front of a Tarzana home and caught fire. The accident reportedly occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m., near Reseda Boulevard and Rosita Street, where the driver seemingly lost control while attempting a right turn.The impact of the crash resulted in the vehicle becoming fully engulfed in flames upon halting in front of the residence. Video sources reveal the intensity of the fire caused by the crash. Despite the severe damage to the vehicle and property, it was confirmed that the residence was unoccupied at the time of the accident.However, another vehicle that was parked in the home’s driveway was also unfortunately caught in the fire and sustained damage. Assumed to be a collateral damage of the incident, this parked vehicle could not escape the spreading flames.The driver, whose identity has been withheld, was apprehended on suspicion of DUI. In addition to the driver’s arrest, a passenger in the vehicle was reported to have suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. More details will be reported as the investigation continues.
