A tragic incident occurred on Friday night around 10 p.m., at the intersection of Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach, where a 55-year-old local resident lost his life after being struck by two vehicles. Authorities responded swiftly to crash reports, found the victim in the roadway and immediately rushed him to nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has yet to be revealed publicly. The preliminary investigation reveals that the pedestrian was crossing outside a designated crosswalk when he was initially struck by a silver 2022 Lexus IS 500 which was being driven eastbound on Warner Avenue by a 28-year-old man. A blue 2011 Ford Fusion driven by a 61-year-old man subsequently hit the victim shortly thereafter. Gratefully, both drivers stayed on the scene post the accident and cooperated with the authorities during the investigation. From the information gathered, no evidence suggests that either driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident. This accident follows another fatal mishap, creating a pattern of two deadly crashes within as many days in Huntington Beach. The Thursday accident took the life of a 27-year-old woman from West Covina.
