According to recent reports, a serious traffic collision occurred on the section of State Route 118 West, east of Interstate 5. Sources say a white Honda Civic was invoived in a near-miss traffic collision incident.The Los Angeles Fire Department was alerted to the incident for a possible need of emergency services. Witnesses reported that they did not see anyone exiting the vehicle post the traffic collision, leading to concerns that the party involved may be unresponsive. The exact condition of the driver remains unknown.In the course of the event, additional reports described a vehicle, possibly black in color, that seemed to have flown off the freeway and landed in the vicinity of Fielding Street. This disturbance is believed to have occurred just east of Laurel Canyon.In addition, a second vehicle, described as red, reportedly pulled into the general purpose lane of the intersection of Highways 118 and 5, soon after the incident. The nature of the second vehicle’s involvement has yet to be clarified.Local authorities were quick to respond, with California Highway Patrol Officers assigned to the incident soon after it was reported. Officers secured the scene and cleared the area to ensure the safety of local residents and maintain the flow of traffic.Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the traffic collision.
