A multi-car collision in Diamond Bar resulted in one fatality and two others being hospitalized in the early hours of Saturday morning. According to sources, California Highway Patrol officers were called to the eastbound part of the 60 Freeway close to the Lemon Avenue exit at approximately 3 a.m. The initial scene was described as chaotic with damaged vehicles scattered across the freeway. One such vehicle had landed upside down near the left shoulder of the road.Footage from the scene shows immediate attempts by bystanders to provide assistance to the victims of the crash. This included efforts to perform CPR and extraction of victims from the wreckage. Los Angeles County Fire Department first responders arrived shortly after and utilized ‘Jaws of Life’ equipment to free the trapped victims.Initial reports indicated one motorist was found lying on the freeway having been thrown from their car during the incident. Among the three victims, one was pronounced dead, and the other two were transported to nearby hospitals, with their current conditions unknown at this time. The identities of all parties involved have not been made public.The crash led to a partial closure of the eastbound 60 Freeway, leaving only one lane operational. However, it was reported that the freeway reopened completely a little before 9:45 a.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
