Early Saturday morning witnessed a violent multi-car collision on the 60 Freeway near the Lemon Avenue exit in Diamond Bar, leading to one casualty and leaving two individuals hospitalized. According to sources, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers were dispatched to the chaotic scene around 3 a.m.The immediate aftermath of the incident was recorded on video, showing a severely damaged vehicle flipped onto its roof near the freeway’s left shoulder. Bystanders were seen attempting to provide immediate assistance to the victims by administering CPR and attempting to extract them from the wreckage. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was swiftly on the scene, utilizing rescue tools to free the victims from the tangled remains of the vehicles involved. Another motorist was found on the roadway, having apparently been ejected during the collision. Of the three victims involved in the accident, one was unfortunately pronounced dead, while the other two were immediately transported to nearby hospitals. The current condition of these individuals has not been disclosed, and their identities are yet to be released. The crash led to the temporary closure of all but one lane of the eastbound 60 Freeway. At this time, it is unclear when the freeway will be fully operational again. The cause of the multi-car collision continues to be under review by the investigators.
