Sources say a violent car crash in Jefferson Park, South Los Angeles, late Sunday afternoon has left three people, including two police officers, hospitalized. The accident took place at around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Adams Boulevard and Gramercy Place. The officers were en route, responding to a report of a man wielding a knife in the vicinity of Adams Boulevard and Saint James Place. Upon reaching the scene, they established the urgent nature of the situation, leading to additional assistance being summoned.During the attempt to apprehend the armed individual, a second patrol unit, en route to help with lights and sirens activated, collided with a male motorist in Jefferson Park. The details of the accident’s precise circumstances remain unclear. However, sources confirmed that the lone male driver involved in the collision suffered critical injuries and was subsequently rushed to a local hospital. His current medical status is unknown. The police officers also sustained minor injuries in the crash.
