Sources say that a traffic collision occurred on Interstate 5 North near Penrose Street earlier today. Involved were a white 2016 Rolls Royce and a white Lexus, both of which ended up on the right shoulder of the road following the incident.Authorities were alerted about the accident which seemed to impede traffic, partially blocking lanes 3 and 4. On-site officers reported that neither vehicle appeared to be drivable after the incident and both vehicles were taken off the road.Notably, the scene attracted the presence of multiple units to manage the situation. Assistance services were notified and they arrived promptly on scene. Private assistance was also relied upon by both parties involved in the collision, which eventually led to the initial request for two tow trucks to be cancelled.The accident caused a temporary hold of the traffic flow on the northbound interstate. Duration of blocked lanes and subsequent traffic impediment resolution time frame is not yet available.
