Late Friday night, a motorist accidentally crashed through a Del Taco drive-thru order screen in Hawthorne. According to sources, the incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the Del Taco situated at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Western Avenue. The vehicle involved was a silver Ford sedan. The driver was reportedly in line at the drive-thru when he misapplied the gas pedal instead of the brake. This resulted in the sedan forcefully colliding with the ordering screen.Sources reported that following the impact with the order screen, the sedan also hit a recently bought Jeep truck that was in its vicinity. Despite the scale of the accident, there were no serious injuries reported from the scene. It remains unclear if either driver was able to complete their order or obtain their food following the collision.
