A traffic collision was reported yesterday on the road section between W Avenue S and Tierra Subida Ave, just west of Tierra Subida Ave, according to sources close to the situation. The incident involved a grey Honda Civic which was found facing in the wrong direction in the middle lanes of the road. It is understood the vehicle was involved in a collision with a guardrail. After the incident, it was found positioned over an aqueduct. A response unit was dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Information obtained through subsequent updates indicate that a patient was transported to Palmdale Regional Hospital after receiving initial treatment at the scene. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was also reported to have been on the scene but were required to respond to another fire in the area before the accident scene was cleared.Antelope Valley Towing was contacted and arrived at the scene to remove the damaged vehicle. The road was cleared and the vehicle taken into tow afterwards. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be officially determined.
