A minivan was reported to veer on the wrong side of the road which resulted in a collision with a tree during the early hours of Tuesday in downtown Los Angeles. This incident has led to suspicions of driving under the influence. The driver, who was trapped in the vehicle due to the collision, was rescued by firefighters. Video footage from the accident scene showed the victim being moved into an ambulance. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for urgent treatment. The incident was reported to have occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. Sources say the driver was seen running red lights just before the minivan collided with a tree. In the process of the rescue operation, firefighters used the jaws of life to extract the bloodied and seriously injured man from the wreckage. The accident took place near West Cesar Chavez Avenue’s 800 block. At present, no additional details pertaining to the incident have been disclosed. As per the police department in Los Angeles, the crash is still being investigated.
