According to reports, a traffic collision occurred on the Northbound 405 freeway, just north of Sunset Boulevard. Two vehicles were reportedly involved in the accident – a white Lexus RX SUV and a white Chevrolet pickup truck. Both vehicles were said to be blocking the fast lanes, causing possible delays and disruptions for other motorists. Following the collision, smoke was observed coming from one of the vehicles, prompting a call to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The LAFD received the notification and, upon arrival at the scene, discovered the fire blocking the High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane and the number one lane. Consequently, a Traffic Collision Emergency Response Team was dispatched to the scene. The emergency response team arrived promptly and immediately stepped in to manage the situation. The response team requested tower assistance from All City Tow, which sent a flatbed tow truck to the scene. The tow truck arrived approximately 20 minutes after the request was made to alleviate the situation. Due to the seriousness of this traffic accident, it was reclassified from a ‘No Injury Collision’ to ‘Traffic Collision with Emergence Response En route’. At this time, it is unclear if there were any injuries as a result of this crash.
